We Tend to call them Areial Rescue Pumps or ARP for short not CARPs

any particular reason why they are all off the run ? I understand taysides had a problem or two and rather take it off the run and cause a furore they ran it as a rescue pump with the boom package not working.

Dnt know just heard that the appliances used at this incident Clydebank Yorkhill and Pasleys arp which were used as water towers are off the run

A number of ARP's were used at this incident and for damping down the next day - Greenock and Maryhill being another 2 I know of.

ps I have a few different shots of appliances at this incident. I will upload them later and see if the moderators put any of them online.

Hi i can confirm at least 1 of the arps are back on the run

Maybe they need to have the booms inspected after X number hours of use? I think that's a requirement for cranes....
