Volvo Bomberos Voluntarios de Ensenada - Argentina

Here you can see an old friend for you, HB74XYF. Unfortunately the TV series "Steel River Blues" was not aired in these latitudes, but I appreciate your comments when I uploaded the first picture of this vehicle about a year ago (see picture 20274). The truck is in service in the Volunteer Fire Department of Ensenada, a city located 60 kilometers south of Buenos Aires. Except for changing the steering wheel to the left hand and the discharge outlet by Stotz type, the vehicle is in its original state. The photograph was taken on April 10, 2010.

Might also have been a good idea to switch the wipers from RHD to LHD - actually a very easy conversion as the base Volvo specification is LHD...

Changing the hose couplings was strictly dpeaking quite unnecessary. Some ex UK appliances in Argentina simply carry a few very short lengths of hose with one instnantaneous coupling at one end and a Sortz on the other!
