Great shot of a faithful Water Tanker, B. Boy; judging from tank size, and the truck sitting heavily on her single rear-axle; must be about 2,000-plus Imperial Gallons (9,092 Litres, 2,400 US Gals) in that big white tank.

She is going to be pretty slow, especially on the hills; but that load of water is a very welcome arrival on a rural fire-scene.

Cambridge had a 1, 000 IG tanker on a TK chassis, and this was the maximum weight of water, which could be accommodated on this GVW chassis. If this example really did have a much bigger tank capacity, then there must have been issues with its tires, wheels, wheel studs, hubs, brakes, axles, suspension and probably the frame, as well as acceleration, fuel consumption and handling!!
