1987 Landrover 110 Fire E587GJX at High Marnham Power Station owned by TXU who bought the site from the CEGB photo just before the station closed in 2003
see also photo #21626. I found this information recently - VF Specialist Vehicles built this Land Rover for sister company Vehicle Finders/Emergency House. The company was active in the field of Land Rover conversions for about 10 years, starting in 1980, although it was actually in existence from the mid-1970s to around 2004. Because most of its output went into industry many of the Land Rovers made were out of the public eye, although some have surfaced in recent years and can be seen on the rally circuit. Recently the works records were discovered and with them was a collection of photographs of most, if not all, of the Land Rover fire engines ever built.
