Hi Barry,
We are about to progress the restoration of an F3 Dennis pump which had one of these mounted on the radiator above the DENNIS nameplate. Are these available as our one is missing. This appliance has a Meadows 6EXA engine fitted. Do you know what the correct colour of this engine might be.

John, these badges turn up quite often on ebay here in the U.K. (When I say often I mean 2 or 3 times a year..).

The usual selling price is around £70. The next time I see one I will let you know. I cannot help you with the F3 engine colour although I suspect that black would be a safe choice.

I hope you have chance to put your TL ladder up this weekend.

this badge has been fitted on the Dennis f7 as i had one on mine i beleive they were fitted until the coronation date of the queen of course the badge then was deleted
these indeed are scarce and to find one on ebay i can only say prepair for a long wait!!
its not unreasonable to assume that every one of these thats sold on ebay is one less for someone else?
they are either bought by collectors or by preservationists and to assume they come round is by no means true!
go to auto jumbles but like i say not every Dennis fire engine had them and if you find one hang on to it as thats what others are doing!
