The official press release on the 22nd March 2010 of the six Vema aerial ladder platforms supplied to the Devon & Somerset FRS x 5 and Cornwall FRS x 1.
Glad to see a smart move like this - multiple Counties buying proper aerial appliances in bulk to drive down costs, instead of each one trying to sort things out on their own. Hopefully, this will happen more often in the future.
Hi Mike the ALPS are allocated to Crownhill (City of Plymouth) Exeter (Danes Hill) Taunton, Torquay and Yeovil (Devon & Somerset FRS) and Newquay (Cornwall FRS). None are on the run at the moment but training will take place between April and July 2010.

Glimpsing the water in the corner; this reader has finally "clued in" as to what that red & white flashing device atop 3rd from right really is.....thanks, Mike G.
Konrad, This will happen more often as the Goverment has set up its own company FIREBUY and expects brigades to combine and by all euquipment in this way
