They don't have the EPU ready in the pump bay I think its in the garage behind the back in the drill yard as its hardly ever used

the epu is in one of the garages out the back of the station

The old fitters garage with "Keep Clear" on the front doors. The EPU seems to be used mainly as a Water carrier on grass/brush fires. One MAN was off the run today and P21KEY Volvo/Saxon was on the run.

Does anyone have any information/photos of the K reg Mercedes Saxon Appliances that were stationed in Wrexham during the Early/Mid Ninties. I think they were K32 TCC/K33 TCC/K34 TCC. Are they still around? Remember seeing K34 TCC at Wrexham a couple of years ago as a reserve.

K34TCC served its entire frontline career at Wrexham. Serving as a wholetime appliance prior to V34DRN (Volvo/Saxon) arriving. It then displaced F166AFY (Volvo/Fulton&Wylie) as retained (3rd) WrL. There was no K33TCC as it was a reserved number by DVLA. K31TCC finished its career at Johnstown and K32TCC at Corwen. All 3 have served at Wrexham as reserves, the latter 2 having wider than original stripework applied by this time.

Thanks Gary, Are they still in the reserve fleet or have they been scrapped?

Unsure but two were running as spares about 2/3 months ago. The M reg ex Gwynedd Merc at the rear of Wrexham is supposedly to be used as a RTA/RTC exercise victim!

Lee K32TCC is actually on the run at Wrexham (30.1.2011). Has been for 2/3 weeks and have seen 2 good turnouts of it, she is being used as the 2nd (WT) appliance. I have tried to put a pic up, if you want a couple email me and I sort some out.

Interesting to see four different manufacturers side by side at one station.
