The last Volvo WrL delivered to Clwyd. The batch were initailly allocated to E2 Deeside (H72HKC),E3 Buckley (H73HKC) and this one to W2 Colwyn Bay. They had "new" features such as power operated mastlights and hosereel rewind, the first for Clwyd. They were also the first new with hi- viz stripework. It was running as the retained 2nd away looking at this.
A737MDB at Wrexham was bodied by Mountain Range but I think Colwyn Bay ET was F&W bodied but not 100%. She did carry a F&W badge at 1 time, and Clwyd were buying F&W WrLs at the time. Wrexhams ET had very different bodywork to this, see my previous posting of it.
Wrexham's ET A737MDB carried Mountain Range bodywork and replaced Bedford TK/HCB-Angus LUN221F and Colwyn Bay's ET B284OEY carried Fulton & Wylie bodywork and replaced Bedford TK/Carmichael ET PCA889H.
Without sounding like a geek...but I think that the Dennis RS behind the ET is YFM675W formerly at W8 Ruthin but previously at E2 Deeside prior to Ruthin. This was a Training/EFAD appliance at the time, also used as a spare in West Division of Clwyd. RDM360/1V and A758LJC had crests on the between cab pillars but on YFM675W they were missing on the N/S for a time.
