MP 9 a Dennis RS61/Morita (Singapore) with a Dennis pump. This is one of 6 R61 built by Morita (Singapore)in 1981. Here seen at the Central Fire station. Chassis # RS61RB/723
Frank, do you know when Dennis stopped using their own pump. I would imagine it would be when they left their old factory and moved to the Slyfield site.
A rare to see Morita fabricate a non-Japanese chassis.Usually Dennis chassis bodywork is fabricated by Saxon, Carmichael etc.

Sorry Barry, I don't have any idea when Dennis stopped with their own pumps. The next batch of Dennis for Singapore had Godiva pumps and that was in 1985. Nick and Bomba Boy, at that time Morita had a Singapore plant for a couple of years. As Singapore was very loyal to Dennis hence the Dennis chassis instead of a Japanese one and no I don't know of any other non Japanese chassis.
This is Major Pump 9, call sign renamed Pump Ladder 9, I last saw it at the Academy in 04 I think. Carried the 100kg 4-6-4 Ladder... one heavy piece of ladder
