Singapore Major pump Dennis R61
MP (Major Pump)2 which is a Dennis R61/McAlister with a Godiva
pump. It's from 1977, under the Civil Defence it was re-numbered to PL (Pump Ladder) 12. Here seen at Sembawang Fire Station. Both station and pump are gone. The station was the former Admiralty fire station and handed over to the SFB in 1972. Chassis # 3328/944 R61.
Note the wooden Ajax ladder.

Frank, to me a streamlined fire engine with beautiful lines, spoilt only by the lack of a suitably-fitted plinth? under both rotating beacons, what a shame, , , ,

Neat roof access immediately behind the cab. Seems like a popular and practical feature in Australia, too.
