Canada - Nova Scotia - Volunteer Fire-Hall in 2008

2008: close-up of the Meteghan Fire-Hall, housing the (1990's?) Ford Econoline van on left, and 'Pumper 7' GMC Top Kick on right.

Volunteer Fire-Halls are usually not manned; so the touring photographer has to hope for glass overhead doors to shoot through, if the local Volunteer Fire-fighters are not around.

We were collecting our ferry from the local ship-yard, and I had sighted this fire-hall on a walk ashore. Came back at night(along with the rain) to use the interior lighting to illuminate the trucks.

Well, at least the overhead doors had glass. I pass by many a station down here in Georgia, and the doors are solid. If not that, the lights aren't left on inside. Nice photo.
