July 1990 taken inside RAF Finningly, Doncaster, on hydrant duty. This RAF base became Robin Hood airport in mid 1990s serving Sheffield etc.

Is this wide opening door a design flaw - or merely a missing or damaged checkstrap? Either way, I am quite surprised the RAF would operate it this way....
