Bedford Carmichael

This photo was taken by Lester Solway and is published with his permission. It shows a Bedford/Carmichael that was initially new to Somerset Fire brigade and was issued to the one pump retained station at Blagdon. In 1974 Blagdon and the appliance passed into the control of the newly formed County of Avon Fire Brigade. This was the only Bedford that Somerset purchased with a Carmichael body and the picture is taken at an exercise in the late 70's or early 80's.
