This appliance is a 1971(reg-MPX 589J)Dennis F44/Dennis that was originally when first delivered based at Chichester,Headquarters of the West Sussex Fire Brigade. It was one of 4 delivered in the striking Coventry Yellow livery. It was the 1st pump on station origanally, then went as 2nd pump at Chichester and then for the last couple of years was at Worthing as a training appliance. It went out of service in 1985 and was broken up. Jacques,do you have a picture please of just the appliance?.Thanks Pete.

Thanks Jacques, another lovely nostalgic view. 2 of the bays in the background were later turned into accommodation / lecture rooms for the Brigade training center but i can just remember when they were full of appliances for training. The driver training appliances now have to live outside, only the appliance allocated to the training center gets a bay inside. Jon.

Thanks, Brings back memories as i used to watch drills like this as a young lad. No doubt a lot of the white Fords are brigade vehicles as plain white Fords were the choice for officers cars for many years - now still Ford but very visible red and battenburg - how times change!. Jon.
