ASA ARFF Rosenbauer Panther, Canberra ACT
Air Services Australia ARFF (Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting) Rosenbauer Panther Mk 8 at Canberra International Airport.
These vehicles weigh thirty tonnes and can accelerate to eighty kilometres in under thirty seconds. When fully equipped the Mk8’s will carry approximately ten thousand litres of water and foam and can empty its tank in less than 2 minutes. It can deliver 5700 litres of foam per minute and can throw foam in excess of 80 metres from its roof-mounted monitor
Three of these Rosenbauer Panther MK8s are in operation at the Canberra International Airport.
