So in the Netherlands a red flashing light is used to designate a fire or police dept. command post the same way a green flashing light is used to do so on U.S. emergency vehicles. Does anyone know what other types of emergency vehicles in Europe may be equipped with blue and red flashing lights, I know that you can often find red lights mounted in back of many police and fire dept. vehicles in the UK. On another note, I find it interesting that the European market Land Cruisers have different styling than those sold in the United States.
Hi Dave, the red light on this vehicle is only in use on airfields. This red light isn't a flashing type. To mark a commandpost we use a green light (on ambulances and Incident command vehicles.) The emergency vehicles use only blue lights in the Netherlands, and when on the scene the blue lights go out, and a orange light is turned on.
