Is the yellow-painted Fire Monitor part of the red-painted Elevated Platform (if that's what it is) at the rear; or are they 2 seperate fittings ?

With the dual rear-axles, it must have a good capacity; I am certainly looking forward to the details of this interesting rig, that Paul has brought us.

Hello Pat,if i may intrude,the monitor is a fixture on the vehicle,like most arff trucks,the elevating platform was for high access.
Manchester airport had a similar unit.

The platform was a "swiftlift" pretty much a hydraulic platform, apparently designed for access to the third engine on a tristar.

Good old machine this was, took a while for the engine to catch up with the throttle.. Went well once warmed up like.. Ended going for scrap after the foam attached the cab!!
