Top Mount Pumper/Tanker Pump Controls

2009 Canadian Winter (Brrrr!) For Andy, in picture 21227; here is a view of a Top-Mount Pumper in action, at a long Mutual Aid fire. Early winter, not much snow down yet; but a bitterly cold NW wind, that the Pump Operator is facing into.
If you look under the chassis, by the Red Angus hose; visible is the enclosed box-structure "stove" that encloses the engine exhaust piping, in order to trap heat for all the water-piping, under the Pump Panel and prevent it all, from freezing up solidly. There is also a back-up Heater, within the Panel.
BTW took this photo while working the fire; had to keep parking the Digi Camera in nearest heated Fire Truck cab, to keep it and its batteries from failing in the cold....
Regards, from Canada, Pat_R-B

Thank Pat! At least he's protected from the wind a little better and his feet won't be so cold!
