Hkfsd designated this mercedes as light rescue unit (lru).the lru can be found in all hkfsd fire stations as this appliance is the main turnout along with the hydraulic platform and major pump.

Hi Bob. Do you have any more photos of fire appliances built by SK fire? E:g from HK, Macau, Brunei etc.

Kuwait city had a similar protocol, except the light rescues were on GM or Dodge double cab chassis. Most of their aerials had crew cabs, so the standard first response mannning of twelve to sixteen personnel were spread across the rescue, the pumper and the aerial, with another one or two on the tanker, which also invariably responded and compensated to some extent for the lack of hydrants in many areas of the city.
