March 1984 Cheltenham Gloucestershire. This brigade had a number of interesting rescue tenders. This replaced a unique Bedford see picture # 17277. They later had an early Rosenbauer - bodied Leyland. Picture to follow.

This is a D2417 6X4 with the same Perkins 510 V8 diesel engine as was fitted to numerous fire appliances by Ford, Dennis, Dodge and Shelvoke during those years. This chassis was the beefiest produced by Ford at the time.
