San Francisco Airport Fire department HazmatThe San Francisco City Fire department received a new Hazmat unit. So this unit moved over to the airport. When I arrived at the station with the chief the battery of the van was out. But luckily with the help of the Fire fighter on duty they managed to get the Hazmat unit out in the sun for the photo. This is a 1990 Chevrolet/Utilimaster
Special thanks to Chief Casserly and all of the Fire crew on duty.

These are normally manned by a driver alone, either a dedicated member or dropped-off an engine. truck or rescue company.
Because this type of high cube, low gross weight van is most popular with bakers, it is often referred to in fire service jargon as a "bread van".
