taken at a fire in east London 1984. The salvage corps were closed down by their owners the insurance companies in 1984, and for a brief period in London there was the London Salvage Company, presumably a commercial enterprise, but it did not last very long to my knowledge. So this is a rare photo.

I am also intrigued how they can have blue lights being commercial! John Nadal has just published a book on London Salvage Corps.
