Pete, Jon. Many thanks Jon for the info. I was told this was the ex SYF&RS appliance. Taken at Navan in 2003. Saw the Kildare machine at Newbridge, but was in workshops at the time.
From 1989,this is a Dennis F127/Saxon/Simon Snorkel SS263 Hydraulic Platform and originally served the West Sussex Fire Brigade and was located at the wholetime/retained station in Worthing. The appliance was taken off the run in 1998 along with 2 other HP's,these being Dennis Hestair Delta 2/Simon SS220L Hydraulic Platforms and all were all sold to brigades in Ireland. The West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received in 1998,2 Volvo/Bronto Skylift ALP's which went operational at Horsham and Worthing Fire Stations and today the brigade now just operate with these 2 aerial appliances. Thanks for sharing this picture with us Andrew.Pete.
