Bedford R Haydon WrT SCE 118this is the 4x4 rural specification, with aluminium finish. Cambridgeshire commonly bought 4x4 pumps in the 1960s, presumably for the wet groumd of the fens, an area reclaimed from marshland.

Another 4X4 at Cambridge in 1964 when I lived there was a tanker on a standard truck chassis very much like the contemporary army lorry. This had a 1, 000 gallon tank and a transverse-mounted AFS-style portable pump at the rear, with its own engine, plumbed into the tank and a hosereel, with 2.5 inch deliveries as well.
Note the extra step and grab handle so a normal height fireman could reach the hosereel. But, rewinding it must have been a hassle!
The four slots above the pump were presumably for lengths of attack hose, so these could be deployed rapidly?
