This old apparatus goes next year to the selling list. Main city Lahti gets new aerial ladder platform and their old (Mercedes 2538 8x4 year 1992, 40 metres) comes to the Heinola.

Can anybody tell me the details/model number of this kind of L911 setup?

I believe this will be either an L1113 or more likely L1313, as the 911 did not have a high enough payload to accommodate the 30 meter ladder, bodywork, crew and equipment.

The 1113 had an eleven ton GVW and a 130 BHP six cylinder diesel engine, and this chassis design was introduced in the early 1960s, continuing in production for nearly fifty years. The 1313 had a 13 ton GVW and the same engine....

Coincidentally, the AEC Merryweather TL in the UK at the same period of time also had a 130 BHP six cylinder AV470 diesel engine.

The Metz hydraulic ladder was introduced around 1960 to replace a gear operated mechanical design, and was one of two brands available from Germany at the time, the other being Magirus.

Magirus built ladders on their own chassis, but Metz used Mercedes most of the time, although other brands occasionally carried Metz ladders.
