Fire Engine Photos
Dublin Fire Brigade Delta 72
This Dennis Sabre with Browns bodywork (reg. 07D 68946) was approximately 6 months old when it was photographed on Sunday morning, 10 February 2008 in Main Street, Rathcoole Co. Dublin having attended a fire in a derelict building.
This appliance is based at Tallaght Fire Station, which is 5 miles away from Rathcoole. It is a full-time station with two appliances, the other being another Dennis Sabre, which was registered in 2000.
For information, the truck to the left belongs to the Electricity Supply Board (ESB).
Despite living a few minutes away, I missed the overnight fire and only learned about it when I switched on the teletext news the next morning. Apparently at its height, 5 or 6 appliances had attended including a TL from Tara Street Fire Station in central Dublin.
