This is a 1946 Dodge Fire Truck. It was bought in the late 70's and placed in service at Station 4 (Union Community) after being rebuilt by Danny Echols. We used this truck as first out with an International Tanker. Engine 4 saw action at numerous house fires, before being retired. She carried a compliment of hoses and 500 gallons of water. I volunteered with Station 4 from 1978 to 1981. This truck was a valuable assest to the Paulding County Fire Department. Mike Davis
Love these 4 shots of the old girl - classic small-town and rural pumper, built on a commercial truck chassis and engine.
Hope she goes inside the fire-hall/ gets taken to someone's garage for the winter; great to have her on display out-side, though, for us.
