Being established in 1886, this is the present apparatus used by FDNY Engine Co6. Its a 2001 Seagrave JB 1000/500 High-Pressure pumper, (SPO1006) and was one of 4 HPPr's purchased in 2001,the others going to Eng Co's 10-34 and 65. Another 5 Seagrave purchased in the same year went to Eng Co's 1-15 and 265,the last 2 being Rescue-Pumpers going to Squad Companies-Squad 1 and Squad 18. Engine Co6 is housed in its own quarters at 49 Beekman Street in Manhattan in what is actually one of the oldest of the FDNY Firehouses built back in 1903 and still in use today.
