Formerly Alpharetta, Ga. Ladder #2. I drove this behemoth when I worked Part Time for Alpharetta. Unk. yr. (late 80's?) FMC/LTI 100', 1500gpm, 300 gal. tank.
Yes, just imagine hurtling through the narrow lanes of an olde English village; or a Belgian medieval town, with this fine "TL Platform Pump".... TheFireman at the helm.....it would be a new form of Urban Demolition (Razing).
Surely, the bucket has to be trimmed upwards a bit, for the driver to see where he is going ?!
"FMC/LTI 100', 1500 gpm, 300 gal. tank" works out to:
Food Machinery Corporation (no kidding) previously Food Machinery & Chemical Co. - FMC Fire Apparatus Equipment ended 1990
Ladder Towers Inc of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USofA
100 foot Aerial = 30.5 metres
Pump 1500 US gallons per minute capacity = 1249 Imperial Gallons = 5,678 Litres.
300 US Gallons Water Tank = 250 Imperial Gallons = 1136 Litres. Definitely want to be on the hydrant; this would hardly do more than prime the pump and hose-line(s).
And, there seems to be at least 3, if not 4 Nozzles in that bucket.
