Fire Engines Photos

This tanker is the main turnout appliance and nearly all fire stations and fire post are equipped with it.This Mercedes can be seen on every middle east roads.During my 2005 hajj pilgrimage i took several shoot of Saudi Civil Defence (SCD) appliances.This include the photo of the Mercedes water tanker cabin.The SCD had are undergoing process of replacing the old Mercedes WRT with the new Mercedes Actros WRT.

Great photo, I remember seeing one of those a decade or so ago in Al Khobar. But is the chassis really 1924, or is that a model not a year #?

It is a 19 ton gross weight chassis with a 240 DIN horsepower engine.

When this was built, 19 tons was the heaviest truck available with two axles. Anything heavier had to be three axles.
