My guess is late 1940's / early 1950's General Motors Corporation Chevrolet truck cab and chassis; slightly different front-grille styling for Europe, perhaps ?
No idea for the body - but another beautiful classic, so worthy of the Netherlands and Belgium fire-engine builders.
Really love the black-painted fenders (wings), that set off the fire-engine red - that paint-scheme was quite popular over in North America.
It is a 1953 Bedford A3 (TA) high pressure pumper with Dutch built American style Boudewijn bodywork. The high pressure pump was a Bean pump. It was in service on the island of Texel until 1978 and is now preserved by the fire brigade.
The car had a provincial registration. in 1958 it got this license plate. In 1964 this truck was re-registered. Probably is in 1964 the date of first issue incorrectly registered.

Glad to see this little beauty in preservation.
