Gee, Chris - you didn't mention that your outing was in a real double-decker bus - very interesting in its own right.

And the fire-crew are being very helpful, in trying to get you rolling again.

PS Over here, "Fleetline" was made by GMC Chevrolet - as a line of cars and half-ton pick-up trucks 1940-50's....

If you go to the Buses section of this website, and look through the Manufacturers section under Daimler, you will find a better photo of this bus.
I've long been interested in the History of both Fire Appliances and the Buses of Teesside (and later Cleveland).
At one time the Municipal Buses and the Fire Brigade were both under the control of the 'Teesside Transport' committee, and both have an interesting, and sometimes parallel History.
