Gungalin 20 (two-zero)is based at the Gungalin Joint Emergency Service Centre (JESC). It is a 75 Series Landcruiser cab-Chasis, the aluminium tanker back was manufactured by Hall Metal Fabrication, ACT. It is towing Gungalin 40 (four-zero) which is a quick-fill pump trailer. A point to note is this quickfill has a diesel pump motor which was originally mounted on ANU 20/ MSO 20 before it became Rivers 20.
The idea of the quickfill is to allow tankers to refill with water in the smallest amount of time, all the crew need do is set up for direct fill, then have a rest while the quickfill "crew" do the work. The quickfill is usually towed by a Command (or in exceptional situations a private vehicle).
This photo was taken as the vehicles were returning to station after the annual field day competition.
