Sapeurs Pompiers Renault Galion T2 ladder

Sapeur pompiers Colmar 68 - France
Escape Ladder 18 meters Gugumus & Charton on Renault Galion T2. (1982)

Served the Colmar fire station from 1960 to 2004.
Now still based in the fire station and was acquired by the city’s FS association.
These types of engines can be seen in French cities with very old medieval or roman city centers where TTL can’t operate.
Even though the good old T2 Renaults have now retired they where all replaced by new models.

Jacques: very unique French Escape Ladder; thanks for showing it being deployed, from its carrier truck.

So glad, that this unique piece of Fire Apparatus has been preserved.

Regards, from Canada,
Pat_R-B

BTW Jacques' photo at picture 19293 shows the Escape Ladder on its truck.
