Austin Gypsy Great Dorset Steam Rally
This photo was taken on 04/09/09 at the Great Dorset Steam Rally. its show the Austin Gypsy that was the works appliance for the Triplex Glass Factory in Birmingham from the early sixities until 1999 when the brigade was disbanded.

These neat little units had the very compact and highly efficient Coventry Climax 500 gpm pump, as illustrated here.
It also found its way on to the front bumpers of a lot of Land Rovers - a very space effective installation on another light 4X4 truck which did not have a lot of space to spare for the rest of its equipment and crew!
