Fire Engines Photos

This is an ex Northenr Ireland Fire Brigade Bedford TK1260 with Alexander bodywork. It was bought by NIFB in 1980 & was stationed at Ballycastle Fire Station. It was replaced by a Dennis SS237 in 1993 became a reserve appliance. I it is listed as being sold by NIFB in 1995.

I may be wrong but the bodywork looks very much like Alexanders of bus fame , they made some similar for the fife fire brigade some years back , they have a factory in Falkirk and they had one in northern ireland but am unsure if they still make fire appliances.

The cab also looks a lot like the HCB-Angus CSV, or "Crew Safety Vehicle", but it is not clear if this was designed to be safer, or whether it was just a styling resemblance.
