Only Volvo ALP in North Yorkshire .

This is the only Volvo chassied ALP based within North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, Sadly, it looks like it's going to be replaced very soon with a Merc Econic, the same as in use at Scarborough and York fire stations .

As i have said many times, i'm not a Volvo man, but this is far nicer than the vehicle that will replace it .... the only 2 minus points are it's only a 27 m reach compared to 32 m for the Merc and lack the self leveling system as fitted to the Mercs, it was available but brigade would not pay the extra for it !
