WOV232T Dennis Fot at the BASF Plant Teesside.

This Fot was seen on 28th October 1995 on a visit with the Fire Brigade Society visit to the Teesside area. I understand it originated as a Pump from the West Midlands Brigade. Can anyone provide any further details?

I don't think this even attended that incident, as this was stationed at the BASF site at Seal Sands, whilist the BASF fire was within the Wilton Complex attended by ICI appliances later Teesside Emergency Services then SEMP CORP and 30 pumps from the surrounding Local Authority and I was on leave my watch never let me forget it !!!!
Our second pump arrived at the river station, after awaking the 2 crew left for the fireboat, commented on answering the door that looks like a bad bit of weather coming in ! Silly 'B' its the smoke from the region's biggest peacetime fire !

Just to confirm, yes this was an ex-West Midlands Fire Service Dennis R133/Dennis Pump Ladder converted into an industrial appliance.A very unusual re-bodied conversion to a FOT carried out by a company called Hargreaves for the B.A.S.F.Fire & Rescue Service at Seal Sands in Cleveland.

My mistake, cheers for the info. It's an interesting incident I'd like to know more about, doesn't seem to be any photos but the odd one in books of a few of Clevelands Pumps but then again who would of been there taking photos that early in morning aswell as being able to get near it! The only interesting read I have is just the timeline of what pumps were dispatched and the time they were called etc

I am not sure if this black edition of the Dennis farm gate grille is even uglier than the silver version, or just as bad.
