Just noticed the photo of our commer, its history is now know. New to Hamworthy, then Wimborne Minster, then Charmouth 64-68 and then to Poole as a spare. Sold into private ownership in 1980.

This Karrier Gamecock/Carmichael WrT actually went out of service with the Dorset Fire Brigade in 1976 and was saved for preservation originally by Lfm Rudd of Gillingham.By 1987 it was under the new ownership of Roger Brown, proprietor of Fire Engine Services of Salisbury in Wiltshire.
I don't know how many other owners this Karrier's had over the years, but today to see it still in preservation is thanks to them all.Its a lovely little machine and well worth preserving for many more years.

Just to add to the comments from Mr Matten there were 2 more owners of KJT 668 before its present owners, they were Mr and Mrs Thomas and Mr Butle of Crewkerne in Somerset. Colin and Jackie Gillard bought the engine in March 2004 and have equipped the engine with all period equipment including a wooden hook ladder.
