Engine 8 Utica Fire Department

So old 1988 Engine 8 underwent a total rehab and became 1 engine, westside station, front line pump. This shot was taken in 2007 when the new engine was placed in service as Engine 1.

Judging from the funny window in the front door, it's an older Seagrave.

The way winters are up there, you would have thought they would have enclosed the rear seats in a four door cab when they rehabbed it - or maybe that huge engine cover puts out enough heat to keep the jump seat riders nice and toasty?

The other possibility - which I hope is not the case - is that this front line pumper runs with only two or three crew, so the back seats are purely decorative...
