There were not very many Mercedes Metz aerial ladders built with an open four door crew cab and a mid-mounted PTO pump. This was obviously a custom design for Tokyo - and perhaps its just as well some of their members were not too tall!

Unusually for a Japanese fire truck, it seems to have blue lights - perhaps an imported idea that Tokyo FRS did not adopt on later units?
