1980 Shelvoke & Drewry WX/CFE Dual Pump Ladder.
This 1980 Shelvoke&Drewry WX/CFE was supplied to the London Fire Brigade as a Pump Escape but was converted to a(DPL)Dual Pump Ladder whilst in service with the brigade.
The appliance was stationed at Islington from new,then Hornsey fire station before becoming North Area reserve fleet spare before finally going out of service with the LFB in 1992.
The picture shows GYW 613W in preservation at the Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley,Southampton at the Solent Emergency Vehicle Show in 1994.

I believe they use to have the blue lights high up due to london traffic they could be seen sooner. A nice engine shame more weren't made. did north yorkshire have one as a TL?

Thanks for that Tg, yes you are right it was YVN67Y she had the Merryweather ladders transfered from OVY200 .
