I have to agree with John, Bit ugly, but I loved these machines. There will never be one to replace them

Bedfords were the best appliance by far, basic yet reliable, these sounded great to, the more modern Volvo just doesn't sound right, looks boring and just doesn't do it for me !

Were this generation diesels, or still petrol engined? I guess B backwards must have been around 1983, by which time many fire brigades in the UK were buying diesels, including a lot of turbos and Perkins V8s.
