Can anybody confirm who did the fire engineering on these military RIVs? Was it Alvis themselves or did they just acquire Unipower as a chassis manufacturer?

You are correct Peter Alvis did the bodywork on these RIVs.

What is the weight of the Alvis unipower 4x4 fire engine?

These would have been plated at around 18T, the 6x6 at 28T
