VY5445 in Railway museum York
Again, with reference to picture 2404 heres VY 5445 being reversed alongside 'Mallard'in the National Railway Museum in York as part of the 2005 VE day 60th anniversary celebrations, its quite ironic that this appliance almost certainly attended an incident during World War 2 at this location when York engine sheds ( now the NRM ) recieved a direct hit from enemy bombers, destroying the sheds and a number of steam locomotives.
