Tynemouth's Volvo Salvage Tender

Tynemouth's Volvo Salvage Tender seen at it's home base in the late 90's.
Apparently this vehicle has now been re-classified as an Emergency Tender. Any further details anyone?

This machine was actually specified by the crews at Tynemouth and is therefore quite well thought out and useful. It was built by John Dennis.
