Grand picture andy thanks, I love the cocky tilt of the caps, reminded me of my dads AFS crew!

No its GXN 782 Dennis light four (see picture 16820) owned and under restoration by Peter McCombie

Andy, many thanks for sharing the photo(s). Without the crews & history they're just big lumps of metal. Hope you don't mind the escape - the original Elgin spec. rather than the NFS reality. Many happy hours making replacement escape mountings to pattern (thank you Dr Barry) and Dennis factory photos.

Hey Peter that's the way it was meant to be! I'm over the moon that the old girl is still around! I'd be even more over the moon if your Dennis and the commer it worked along side could meet up again!

Hi Andy, hopefully won't be too long before I can take a drive up to Elgin in the Dennis. Maybe for her 70th birthday in 2013....Where's the Commer now?

Added by Peter McCombie on 18 May 2011.
Peter, that's great! I was speaking the previous owner, the Commer is now owned by someone who will use it as a Coffee Stand outside the new transport museum in Glasgow. Seemingly all the Coffee stuff fits into the lockers so it's not been molested in any way....

Hi Andy, just about finished restoration of GXN 782 and completed 600 mile round trip to Preston Hall (Teeside), mostly without incidend. Sadly missed local vintage vehicle rally (historic wheels, Brodie Castle) last weekend but would be good to get an excuse to bring appliance back to Elgin, just for a visit!
