Shelvoke MerryWeather TL - North Yorks

Here is the Shelvoke SPV WY North Yorkshire TL as he is now. All that remains of the ladder is the base of the turret and the control station. After it left service it was used as a recovery vehicle, but now it will soon return to red and become another OST like EBB847W the Shelvoke faom tender conversion. Although looking a little sorry, the mechanicals are stil superbly strong.

Why do they paint it green?Basically the color scheme make it look like a part US forest firefighting unit appliances.In my childhood period i used to remove the TL of my fire trucks model then i convert it into recovery vehicle (RV).I thought the system is fictional.

I believe I saw this vehicle when it was a recovery truck. As can be seen in the picture .the ladder 'fulcrum frame' has been reversed..ie it is facing towards the rear the control console is on the off side. A lifting beam was fixed in place of the ladder and the ladder system used to lift disabled vehicles.
