On a MAN chassis the Finnish firm Bronto, built a Bronto Skylift F42 HDT. It can reach a height of 42 metres. It can used to rescue people and use the height to fight fires.

Not a substitute for adequate hi-rise building codes and built-in firefighting systems and means of egress in tall structures.

It seems too many third world countries are hoping that buying giant sized aerial platforms will prove a solution to hi-rise fires, but they all too often prove to be fairly useless in actual incidents.

Recently, this proved to be true in London, too, but we have seen other examples in India, China, Russia, Dubai, Egypt and Indonesia as well as Turkey...
