Fire Engines Photos

thank you for a great photo of 2 british well built engines. They look well smart. As a brummie its sad to see LDV may be closing yet again another british firm going to the wall. Why if dennis can build trucks to carry waste in why can't they start fire engines again and lets give all the people who buy fire engines vans or watever a good kick up the backside and buy british. Even the MOD are buying MAN's. This picture says it all well built and will last a life time even the good old bedford's lasted ages. a great pic does he have a SS or RS yet.

I drove the Dennis F4 (flat front ) to fires from Albion street in the jewelry quarter in the mid 1960s. Good machine, but the crew were behind a bulwark and so blind, and the crash box was ok going up but a real mare to gets the ratios meshed when coming down
